The Mott Regent High School Music and Drama departments presented a fine performance of "High School Musical" on December 10, 11 and 12. The four lead roles were played by Kim Schaible, Lee Jahner, Gwen Coppa and Troy Gion. The nearly professional singing voice of Kim and amazing facial expressions of Gwen carried the show to a memorable level.
With a High School population of just over 100 students, there were more than 70 students participating in the performance.
Band and choir director, Mark Suelzle developed the choreography. Clarice Andrus, the drama teacher, coached and directed the musical for nearly two months. Standing ovations at the conclusion of every performance was an accurate indication of the appreciation of the communities and excellent performance by the students.
